Camp Cartoons.
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is growing on me, and I can't really say why. A lot of it has to do with the show's rather nihilistic approach to endings. The cartoons have a tendency to end after vindictiveness has crushed someone's dream or everyone has died because of irreversible stupidity. Or maybe I just like the Caribbean accent of Grim.
More importantly, I want everyone to watch Fillmore! [link changed 8/7/11, originally "http://psc.disney.go.com/abcnetworks/toondisney/abckids/fillmore/"], on Saturday mornings on ABC. I know you've all got Tivos and VCRs, so don't complain about the morningness. This is a show that I could go on forever about. I know this for a fact, I have gone on about it. But it doesn't do any good. You have to see to believe. It's an over-the-top '70s cop show translated into a suburban middle school. If you need more reasons, post in comments, and I'll give you one reason, specifically geared to you. That ought to cork me.

In "Cry, the Beloved Mascot," the main sport of X Middle School is Lawn Bowling.
Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy
It sounds odd, but try a few. The show is at its best when at its extremes: when Mindy is really mean, Billy superbly idiotic, and Death at his wit's end to get the heck away from them.

Unfortunately, the show wasn't picked up. :(
I'm really sick of these suits making boneheaded, logic-defying decisions. Seeing how desperately ABC needs good ratings (and it was doing well), you'd think they know better. Television really need someone like a Fred Silverman or a Brandon Tartikoff again, but with the radically different frontier we have now with cable, I don't even know if that's possible.
