The Aerosmiths.

I should get back to Cafe Largo sometime soon. NPR had a segment on Jon Brion, who's done a whole lotta stuff I love. The piece was ostensibly about his work as the composer for I Heart Huckabees, but it touched on his songwriting, producing, and live shows. The highlight was a spontenous one-man version of Aerosmiths vs. The Smiths. Listen, and love.

(Also, while it lasts, some good deals on DVDs at Amazon. I've apparently already lost the window for the $14.99 Millenium set.)

I've been waiting to buy Simpsons, Futurama and Buffy DVDs after the prices dropped a smidge, and this is my dream come true. (I've decided to only buy DVDs of stuff I know I'm going to watch again and again, rather than just everything that comes out. It ain't easy!)

You can also knock a tiny bit more off the price by using Amazon's search engine (www.a9.com) before you place your order: Amazon will notice that you used A9 (via a cookie) and will knock an additional 1.57% (π/2) off your total.

Well, clearly he doesn't play Largo every Friday, since I saw Lisa Germano there on a friday. Neato, though. I'd certainly like to see him some day.
