Work.

So, it's the end of my wacky extended weekend, and I have to go back to work tonight. That's always a drag. There was a lot I wanted to get done while I was off, and while I didn't do all of it, I did do much of it, and so I'm glad. Things I did this weekend that I was supposed to do include lots and lots and lots of shopping and finishing the December crossword for Today's Cacher. Since it is the end of the year, I thought I'd challenge myself with a Sunday-sized crossword. And it definitely was a challenge. I've gotten very used to making 15x15 puzzles quickly and confidently, but working on a 21x21 grid made every bit a struggle. I had a pretty fiddly theme too, which didn't help. On the whole, now that I'm done, I'm proud of how it turned out. It should go online tomorrow.

I did get to spend some time reading, which i haven't done for a while. For reasons I no longer recall, I decided I wanted to reread the Earthsea stories. They're good. I'm going to go back to The Farthest Shore in a minute when I go to bed.

I didn't spend any time getting my house in shape to host a Christmas tree, however small. I want to buy one next week, so that concrete goal should help me get organized. Plus, I need somewhere to place the large number of bulky gifts I have. Also this week, I need to put together my online orders for things I can't find around here easily so that I can have it delivered to my house by Christmas. Also, I need to make online places send out gifts to all my friends out in non-LA land. Amazon Wish List links are appreciated.
