Sucks Ash.
I don't like fire. I'm on edge, and have been ever since I walked outside to pay the rent and saw ash falling all around. The fire line is less than five miles from where I used to live, and where my parents still live. They're safely nestled in a developed area, and they're not at risk, but some other friends had to evacuate yesterday (though the order was been lifted and they've returned).
My mother's school is one of the only ones in the area still in session. A block away, another school as been converted to an evacuation area. The fire's burned a park that my dad, my sister, and I hiked in. It's burned a cemetery where I attended the funeral of a friend's brother.
Los Angeles has a lot of undeveloped land, and so far, there's been little property damage, and apparently only one injury. It's not something to worry about.
It's just unsettling.
