Hope all goes well.

See you soon.

Break a leg!

Preferably somebody else's, though.

Hey, good luck. Having been there and done that repeatedly, I offer this: Killing actors, while tempting, results only in badness. What I like to do instead is wait until the set strike and name certain pieces of the scenery-to-be-destroyed after the actors in question. One can then destroy the actor, by proxy, with complete impunity. I once did some serious damage to the scenery (such as it was) of a production of _Godspell_ by kicking it repeatedly in the name of a certain member of the pit band. :)

What a great way to vent your frustrations. :) I've never done that -- I did take great glee in demolishing a certain staircase/ladder, but that was all the staircase's fault.

And break a leg, Tablesaw! Or... I dunno, what do you say to a stage manager -- break a headset?

Break an actor! It's no less lucky than telling someone to break their own leg. And, you get to vent while sounding cheerful to the cast.

Sorry, Fortuna here. I'm at a computer training program for Access (read: web surfing) today. Trying to keep my mind busy so I don't dwell on other things going on.

Oh, if you're going to be breaking and smashing stuff, can I help? I have frustrations I need to vent too. I still haven't had decent sex, I mean food, in months.

Do you hate actors, too? Most stage managers do. My boyfriend does. In fact, he hates them so much that he took a pay cut to go from stage manager to a member of the light crew. hahaha

Well, I'm an assistant stage manager and I don't hate actors. Not most actors, anyways. (The company I'm an ASM for is not professional, but an MIT/community group, which may be what makes the difference.) The ones who get under my skin, though...really really really irritate me.
