Today's LA Times Syndicated crossword puzzle was written canadianpuzzler. I am amused that this Canadian puzzler managed to work a famous Canadian into the clue for the central down entry. Solve it now! My time was seven minutes.

I went back and checked, and sure enough, that was my clue. Mind you, that wasn't meant to be any special flag-waving patriotism; I don't know of any more widely-known [censored]'s, and that entry was a good fit for the otherwise potentially awkward middle letter of the central down.

Also, they really do believe in "payment on publication"; my check for this puzzle was in today's mail.
