Curse You, Sun!

It simply seems like I don't have enough time in the day recently. And it's nothing to do with sleeping too much either; I'm pretty much hitting eight hours on the nose. And yet the time seems to keep slipping away. A lot of it is due, I think, to late-night Internet surfing, something I need to cut down on. If it's past 11 a.m., I think I should just turn in. Turning off the flow of information is difficult. Oh, look, someone else has updated his weblog! Oh, look, someone has sent me an email! Oh, look, there's a fascinating discussion of Evolution v. Creationism! Oh, look, it's 1:30 again, dammit! I just don't feel as bad wasting my time doing these things right after I get up, since I'm (a) groggy, (b) still in my pajamas, (c) usually also watching TV at the same time. In the mornings, though, the ever brightening sun continually reminds me of how late I'm up.

The past two days have been good though. On Wednesday, I met with [livejournal.com profile] wjukknibs at Carrows. It was good to see him again, although he, unfortunately, brought up the used video game store slightly up the road. When we parted ways, sometime around eleven, I was, of course, obliged to visit. Once there, of course, I was obliged to purchase Final Fantasy III for my good old Super Nintendo [link changed to Wikipedia, 11/17/10; original link to http://www.nintendo.com/systems/snes/snes_overview.jsp]. Sigh.

This morning, after finally washing my dishes, I wasn't much in the mood to cook, so I set off down the road to find something to eat. Eventually, I settled on Big Slice Pizza because I've been wondering if it'd be worth it to order delivery from there. It wasn't spectacular, but it was nice that they cooked all pizzas to order, including their "big slices." So eating there meant I got handed a plate with a good-sized triangular pizza, still hot to the touch from being yanked out of the oven moments before. So, yeah, I expect I'll be ordering from them next time; Variety is the spice of life.

Today, I should really get some food right when I get home, walk instead of run, and avoid the computer. In reality, though, I will probably be forced to choose between FFIII and Puzzle Pirates and suddenly realize that it's noon and I haven't eaten anything.

I recommend the FFIII, sir

(as I haven't tried pirates)

FFIII was such a great game, never equaled by its tarted-up successors 'til FFX IMHO.

My current addictions: Ratchet & Clank for PS2 (excellent platformer/gadgety shooter), just starting Neverwinter Nights for PC (after playing most of the Baldur's gate series), and (grr) 3D Minesweeper. I got a record on one of the boards! (but of course it won't last).

I'm almost waiting for school-term videogame moratorium to start so I can do something else with my time and OCD :P

arrrr!

Ignore that scurvy landlubber, and wile yer hours away on the Azure Ocean!

I found yer livejournal 'cause I can't get on pirates (me boyfriend has the game right now and this is me Mac) so I googled up the phrase puzzle pirates and clicked on some random links. It's almost as good as sailin' the high seas, right?
