I just took an annoying telephone poll, and you can too!
[Poll #177087]
"Are you for or against abortion?" "Well, I'm for abortion. All the time. I don't think there should be any more procreation. Ever. Or prophylactics. Just abortions, abortions, abortions."
I guess all of the good pollsters are too busy trying to figure out who's voting for whom for governor.

I say this because I know, and have known, quite a few people who are against abortion... but they understand that almost everyone who want to keep it legal has reasons other than just that they want everyone to throw away their condoms and go for dangerous medical procedures after the fact instead.
And myself, I'm "pro-choice"... mainly because I don't want to see dangerous illegal abortions happening, and I do believe that if abortion was illegal, and I was raped... I would be having one anyway... Mostly because of stories like this (http://www.kobiskorner.org/new/whatiskobiskorner.html). While obviously I wouldn't suggest that child shouldn't have been born... that is exactly the type of problem I would fear would happen to me... or worse... And I'm not sure I personally would be able to handle such a situation well at all.
On the other hand, I'm totally in favour of some kind of "pre abortion counciling" that involves giving the patient information on other options available to them... I do think that's a good idea. Just so long as the counciling does NOT involve showing women horrible images or trying to brainwash them into thinking they're evil if they get a legal abortion.
