Move-in update.
I'm back at work again. It's hard to believe it's only been four days of moving. Everything of mine is now within the Carriage House. My clothes, my cds and one bookcase-full of books have been unpacked. There are about four boxes remaining, each one filled, mostly, with odds and ends. These are, of course, the hardest things to place since they never really have a specific place to go. I've also picked up some scrapbook/photo albums to hold photos, postcards and other things that have no specific place.
Some problems still remain. The toilet seems to have a problem caused by its distance from the main sewage line. My uncle plans to have the plumber return to add an ejector to move the sewage the apparently overlong and possibly ill-sloped distance to the sewer. The phone still has not been installed. My uncle was unable to be home in time to meet the technician due to problems at his construction site. (One of the owners of the house being built passed away.) This should be remedied by tomorrow, though. There are also a few blinds that still need to be installed.
But overall, the place looks fantastic. The main room is starting to come together, now that the boxes are disappearing, and the bedroom looks fantastic. The queen-sized bed fits perfectly and is wonderfully comfortable. I bought a very cheap digital camera today, and hopefully there will be some serviceable pictures soon.
Really, there's so much to tell, I don't know what to say. I just want people to walk through my house. Then, I think, they'd understand.
