Thankyou. With the spoiler there as bait, I took one, final, determined look at the game and finally figured the little sod out for myself. When I thought of it as Polar Bears Around The Hole it was easier for me.

There's a goodish playable Java version of the game here. But I think you're in trouble...you're NEVER supposed to reveal the secret. I promise that I won't tip off the Petals Mafia to your location, but you might want to keep a low profile for a while anyway.

Frankly, the reason I wasn't so concerned about doing so was that, compared to many other games of this sort, I think this one is incredibly lame.

Stared for five minutes and didn't get anywhere... then cracked down and got out a piece of paper and figured it out immediately. Only realized the relevance of the title after I had solved it. :P

I'd seen this before, and thought it was pretty well known. I remember this being a tiny Commodore 64 file, clunkily called "Petals and Rose."

The replay factor of that game was virtually nonexistent. :)
