So I did manage to get myself to jump in the pool today. It was...interesting. I didn't, as I'd intended, learn about holding my breath underwater. I did learn, however, about idiotically throwing one's self into a cold, cold environment where everything looks weird. (For those who don't know, there is an incredible desire to GET OUT!) Luckily I had a towel and a warm shower on hand for rehabilitation.

I may try again tomorrow, though, and see what, if anything changes.
