More listism.

Having written down all of my videogames and DVDs, and anticipating Saturday's Puzzle Party and a subsequent [livejournal.com profile] tmcay gamefest, I thought I'd buckle down and put together a profile on Board Game Geek. It seems like something that would actually be useful. There's often a lot of talk, when NPL folk get together about who's bringing what, and who has what, etc. So, it's nice to be able to point to a list of all the games I own. (It's not current yet, since I was doing it at work, trying to remember which games I had where, but I'll keep at it.) Also, along the lines of gift shopping, it includes a wish list and wanted games list (which are even more incomplete).

Another feature is Geek Lists, where various users group games according to whatever criteria they can think of. Some of them are lame, like lists of games some random person found at a thrift store, but some are more interesting, like the Museum of strange and astonishing bits and parts in board-games. Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] fourcoffees' list of Board Games in Interactive Fiction, I thought a list of games associated with the Mystery Hunt would be interesting. I made some notes, but I'll have to hold off on putting them up until I have more time.
