My solution list for the February Enigma is nearly complete. With only five days left, I'm pretty much going to write off cryptograms my unsolved cryptograms and try to solve the last three verse puzzles for a flat complete, my first.
The FriNYTX was really hard today, which I rather expected given yesterdays puzzle. Really good, though. 44D was a new word, 53A taught me a new meaning, and of course, 17A was a very special for me. Overall, the puzzle took me 47 minutes, over fifteen of which were dedicated solely to 1A, 14A, 16A and 18A and their crossings. I got 3D, then 1D and managed to figure out 18A. I then spent quite a long time trying to remember the Three Forks area to get the source of the Missouri river for 16A. A while later, I realized that I had misread, and that I was actually looking for the source of the Mississippi. This still stumped me until some quick research revealed that my guess for 1D was wrong. The rest fell easily. Then the FriLATX took 8:30 minutes.
My aunt and uncle sent word to me that if I move in with them, DSL will be available. Canst thou saith, "Woo!"?
