I've been promising this for a while, so here it is. I want to preserve my privacy in reality, along with the privacy of others whom I encounter in my life. Accordingly, I use pseudonyms and abbreviations for pretty much everyone who has a major role in my life. So unless you know who everyone is, it can get confusing. For those left clueless, I now present...

Who's Who in Tablesaw's Journal

Tablesaw:: Our hero. The gallant protagonist. Me. For more information about me, read everything in this journal.
Mother:: My mother. She's the principal of the Catholic elementary school in my local parish.
Father:: My father. He's the principal of a public middle school in the Valley.
Sister:: My sister. She's two years younger than I, and she just graduated from college. She's teaches at a Catholic High School while she gets an MA.
Other family:: My father has three brothers and two sisters. My mother has two brothers and seven sisters. I have over thirty cousins of various ages, some of whom have children of their own. Because of this, I do not have names for all of them. Very soon, I will be moving into a guest house owned by one of my aunts and her husband. When that happens, I'll probably give them nicknames too.
wjukknibs:: wjukknibs is probably my best friend. Earlier in this journal, he was called "D". I've known him since I was in the seventh(?) grade. At that time, my mother and his mother were teaching side-by-side. Since then, our two families have become very closely intertwined. He works as a graphic artist at a television station and likes going to Las Vegas.
Veek:: Veek is veek. I met her on ifmud, and we've gotten closer since then. We've now met several times and tend to keep in touch over the internet. She's very smart, and I tend to bounce ideas and theories off of her as much as possible.
Other friends:: I have other friends, but either they have their own livejournals, or I haven't yet had an occasion to create a name for them.
Ex:: Ex is my ex-girlfriend. We had a rough break up, and now she's engaged. I don't talk with her much anymore, because she brings back many painful memories, but she's still quite a part of my thoughts and my life.
J.:: J. was my first "success" in the world of Internet Personals. Success is in quotes because after one date, she abruptly broke off contact. But I did like her an awful lot, and she shows up occasionally in entries.
T.:: T. is my current crush. She's a member of my parish and a Lector, like me. She's very cute, and I seem to have a very difficult time keeping in contact with her.

That should be all you need to know. I'll update this entry as necessary. If you, gentle reader, feel I've left anyone important out, let me know.
