Puz2[005]les
Maybe it's just the Mystery Hunt coming up in a week, but I'm ready for the puzzles. I don't just mean I'm ready to win the Hunt, which I am, but I'm ready to start preparing for the Great Los Angeles Convention of 2005. I'm also ready for The Eggs Files III. I wasn't sure if I'd do one this year, with the Convention taking up bunches of time, but I've got some very, very cool ideas for it, so I'm going to keep up the tradition.

Puzzle goals before the summer
- Mini puzzle tour of Downtown LA. Probably nothing more than a five-minute walk from the hotel, but that's still a number of points of interest, like Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Cathedral, Central Library, and the MOCA. The nearness of the MOCA makes it prime for more extensive puzzling, but the hours are a bit oppressive for me. This whole set is meant to be something that won't take very long that folks can do when they forgot to plan something.
- Hollywood Hijinx. Not the game, the thingum for conventioners. Artistry's trying to coordinate, so we should have things set up soon. We need to see how many of the cool ideas can stick.
- Puzzles at the Getty. I want to commit to this one because I really need to motivate myself to get to the Getty more. No idea what I'll do.
- Eggs Files III. Nuff said.
- Handout for the Museum of Jurassic Technology. I can do this easily, I think. I was going to make it a low priority, but it turns out that it's pretty easy to get there, only one bus. It takes a little while on the bus, but I think that a lot of folks would really enjoy the place.
- After-hours extravaganzza. If you've heard my ideas, you know what I'm thinking about. If you haven't you don't. Something I really want to do, but which may end up being pretty complicated.
- Puzzles for the LA Metro. This seemed like a cool idea when I first thought of it, but it's bored me as time went on. I'd love to highlight the fact that LA does, amazingly, have some mass transit (a shadow of what it once was ), and I like the ending, but it may not happen. (Now that I think about it, maybe I should focus on one puzzle, some ideas for a cryptic maybe, then farm it out. That'll keep the ending intact too.)

I can't remember if I finished writing about it, but if so, I don't remember where it is.
