So, what do you do when you wake up at 10:30 at night to discover that the power is out and you have no idea where the flashlight is?

Why, you grab your DS, of course!

If I had a DS Lite, I probably could have used that to get ready for work, but as it was, I used the DS to make my way into the living room to find my spectacularly backlit GPSr.

Who needs candles when you ahve handheld electronics?

For some reason, the phrase "My GPSr burns at both ends; it will not last the night" is running through my head - to the tune of "Yellow Rose of Texas" naturally.

My li'l Sidekick becomes a flashlight when you hit menu-f. I suggested an obvious function for menu-v to one of the software developers, and he said he'd take it up with the rest of 'em...

A gameboy micro works shockingly well as a flashlight. Better than a DS even because it's more of a focused source. I tried to find the image of a guy using his DS in a cave and finding two animals attacking him (it's a joke image with super large animals and the joke was that if using the DS in a cave you can see things that are going to attack you from above and below. )
