Yeah, xkcd's habit of depicting OCD/autism/whatever as an endearing quirk always botherd me a bit, but this one finally nailed why.

To be fair, I think that in this case, it's being depicted as tragedy. But that doesn't make it any less heartwrenching.

Um, guys. It's a comic strip. You know, counterfactuals and all. I'm pretty sure he's never introduced himself with "I have licked your daughter's nipples" either.

(FWIW, I found this strip quite funny: it's just the sort of impulse I'd have but wouldn't follow through on. Probably.)
