Some TV Notes.

ojouchan and I disagree on season 3 of Prison Break. I think she thinks it's stupid; I think it's stupid awesome.

The show is not jumping the shark this season. Prison Break soundly jumped the shark when the prison was broken out of. As far as I cna tell, the producers have now designed a new giant mechanical shark twice the size of the first shark, which will wrestled for the near future. Depending on how ratings do, a giant robotic crocodile may also be constructed.

There's something oddly appealing about Gossip Girl. I don't know what that something is, but I don't think it's the actors, because I'm damned if I can tell any of them apart.

The premiere of Kid Nation seemed to do pretty much everything right. Which is why, in retrospect, I think it pretty much sucked. Too much Survivor. while the credits rolled, they showed bonus footage of two kids having a pointless fight with their team bandanas. I want more of that.

The editing of Kitchen Nightmares seemed wonky.

Ever since hearing the concept of the new season of House, I've been really excited about it. The commercials are teasing, but I predict solid awesomeness.

While I would be rooting for the kids to overcome their kid-ness and be able to work together efficiently, everyone I've talked to seems to want to see Kid Nation break down into total pointless childish anarchy.

Not much love for the kids.

I just hink that the show itself is too focused on a very rigid structure. I don't need the kids to turn into Lord of the Flies, but kids acting like kids are far more interesting than all of the annoying challenges and meetings.

To assemble a new team, House brings on a whole bunch (24? 40?) of applicants who will get eliminated as the season progresses.

Apparently, they'll still be part of the show, but non-spoiler reports haven't been clear on how.

I was actually very confused last year when I saw Prison Break was continued. Now, I've never seen a single episode, but it seems like either a very long time to stay in prison, or time to re-title the show, right?

At the end of season 1, they broke out of prison. Season 2 was about evading capturing and exposing the giant conspiracy that was behind framing one of the characters. At the end of season 2, several of the remaining characters were arrested in Panama and thrown into the same Panamanian prison, which they'll have to break out of again.

Kid Nation just sounds like Lord of the Flies adapted for the small screen. I hope I am wrong, though. I am intrigued by Gossip Girl, but I think I will just stick with my cop dramas. Criminal Minds and Shark are my new favorite shows.

I agree about Gossip Girl. I don't think it's a good show, but I sort of want to watch it again this week.

I am also excited for new House.
