I finished a Beyond Tetris column on The Fool's Errand, which will be up today or tomorrow. It's actually pretty long, even though I stuck with the original game without doing more than mentioning 3 in Three. On the other hand, I really like the images I pulled for it.

I've been in a good mood this week. Energized. Now to put that energy into The Gamer's Quarter.

Any insight on when Fool And His Money is coming out? I paid for my copy 3 (4?) years ago, before the delay parade. I am hoping that the phrase "worth the wait" will be applicable, but the more waiting done, the more worth is needed to make the phrase applicable, and I have my doubts.

I'm occasionally suspicious about the fact that I've paid for a game called "The Fool And His Money" (given the rest of that proverb) and for preordering I was put on a list of "True Believers." It definitely has the trappings of an elaborate prank.

If the game isn't released by Christmas, I'm probably going to demand my money back and offer to repay for the game when it exists.

That is precisely the reason I've never pre-ordered, even before the first delays. I try not to do things with extreme "told-you-so" potential.

All I have is the most recent post on his website, which said, on Monday, "I’m still thinking a few months or so, then a thorough final beta test — and then to your doorstep!"

Also, not to be a downer, but you should also consider that, by buying the game a few years ago, you've actually paid about five dollars more than I will when it comes out.

Hey, loved it! =) I was an original player of FE on the Mac, way back when. I loved 3 in Three, but as you say, it just doesn't compare to the ultimate coolness that is the Sun's Map. (And yes, I am a True Believer.)

I still have hopes of Cliff showing up to an NPL event someday.
