I'm not certain, but it looks like the episode of Merv Griffin's Crosswords in which I appear will be pre-empted by Southern California fire coverage.

HOWEVER!

I just received word that it did just air in New York!

If there's anyone who DVRed the show and can e-mail it to me (or put it up at a secret location for a while), I'd love to grab a back-up copy that I can burn to VCD just in case it doesn't show in Los Angeles. That way, I can still have something to show at the party.

I can absolutely relate. It's on my DVR and I can burn it onto a DVD but I don't know how to e-mail it or put it on a secret location.

I just got home and haven't watched all of it yet but I see that part of it was pre-empted for news about the fire but it was before you came on the screen.

My computer tends to choke on that kind of software and I don't know what kind of file my DVD recorder would record it in.

It wasn't pre-empted in Boston -- the first one of the two in the block was pre-empted but not yours (or if your episode was the first, it got bumped back).

(I'm assuming folks reading this might want to remain unspoiled, so I'm not saying anything about the show itself).
