I'm from Hollywood

The past two days I've woken up late, so I've gotten to enjoy concerts put on by Capitol Records. The concerts are, I presume, for their employees, though it's pretty much audible for a few blocks around. Yesterday was Saving Abel, which wasn't that great, but today it was V.V. Brown, which was a lot of fun. I'd like to hear more of her.

Later on, I walked down to the Egyptian to buy tickets to a double-feature of The Planet of the Apes and Escape from the Planet of the Apes, and a triple-feature of all three Back to the Future movies. I may corral some other folks to come with, but I wanted to guarantee seats for myself, at least.

This is Hollywood, people.

:D I know what you mean! I was calling a blues club (I need to do a performance report for a class I'm taking) and on their recording they said press 1 for hours, press 2 to schedule a private party, press 3 to get prices for location filming. LOL.

It's such a company town!

Vebrile here to say: I once attended a cinema screening of the then-complete "Planet of the Apes" quintuple-feature. First: Do not do that. Second: My memory is hazy here, but I'm trying to remember if the PotA continuity would better or worse if you replace the last three films with BttF.

First, I would totally do that. But it would definitely be a different, more mocktastic experience than just watching these two.

Second, I'm a big fan of the third movie, which is cheesy, but still a better sequel than Beneath the Planet of the Apes. Because, c'mon, SAL MINEO IN AN APE SUIT! But it does go downhill for the last two.
