have i mentioned recently that i really think you'd like fogcon/wiscon? preferably both, but having just recently priced tickets from california to the midwest, i could understand skipping the latter.

Yup. And I responded a bit belatedly. At the moment there's nothing to counter my low-level anciety that I'd just stay very distant from the goings on. I prefer to go into a situation like that with either a strong plan, or someone I can go back to socially if necessary.
