...is what the home computer is. The one with the DSL connection. As far as I can tell, something snapped in the memory, which prevents the memory management systems from loading, which prevents everything else from loading. Further, I still can't get my computer to properly dial into my dial-up ISP, upon which I shall be reliant once I move.
All of this would have to happen on the day after I start getting involved with some web games. The online Alias game is starting up along with the new season, and of course, there's Push, Nevada. Alias's game is usually pretty simple, and meant to run parallel to the plot line of the show. It's not clear if the next mission is going to start up before, during, or after Sunday's premiere. Regardless, Alias is a great show that everyone should watch.
I can't say the same about Push, unfortunately. It's really bad. It's badly acted, badly directed, and mediocrely written (the last wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the first two). The "gimmick" of the show is the puzzle that leads to a prize of $1,045,000. That money would be nice, of course, but it won't mean anything if the show and everything surrounds it is awful. I'll probably tape the show anyway because I still enjoy bad mysteries sometimes, but you can bet I'll be watching CSI instead.
Also, a nice little game called TimeHunt. It claims contributions from lots of big names, including Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. From what I've played, it looks pretty fun and engaging, and thoroughly done. Unfortunately, the work computers don't seem to be able to update the Shockwave player, so most of the pages I can't access. I'll just have to play from home . . . oh wait.
