Syntopicity.

"Where were you when you heard . . . ?" questions are arise with many major events.

For two of the most recent events, the attack on the World Trade Center and now the explosion of the Space Shuttle Columbia, my answer would be the same: ifMUD. I expect I'll be there for many more.

My mom wanted me to tape a radio show for her at 2 p.m., but when I turned on the radio 15 minutes ago I found that it had been preempted by special coverage.

Am I the only one who finds something sinisterly funny about the President citing the shuttle's "left wing" as the source of the problem? Also, am I the only one who thinks that NASA should be dissolved?
