Actually, (and I can see how you might have misread this) he said in his post that it was another girl in the group who went up to another woman and asked her. As for guys scanning boobs, I think they generally scan anyway :P

The fact that women started it makes it even more clear that his involvement was a form of taking advantage of the situation. As someone who is bi and poly I've encountered couples where the woman tries to pick up a woman and then her partner oh-so-sneakily inserts himself into the deal afterwards - this certainly has more than a few similarities.
