Last night, I stopped by my uncle's again to take stock of his furniture. This time, I had the keys. I'm going to snag his dining room table (it's extendable!), his spare desk, his bed, some chairs, an end table and some cabinet things. When I got there, I pulled a pen and pad out of my notebook and noticed that my frozen dinner was melting away. So, I popped it into the freezer as I surveyed the condo.

No, as a matter of fact, I didn't remember to take it out again.

I spent a good deal of time tonight composing my thoughts in response to [livejournal.com profile] luxnightmare's thoughts on Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. It's an interesting subject, and I encourage you all to read over the discussions and learn more about the issue, if you haven't heard as much as you ought.

WedNYTX: 13. Had to research 34D, 46A, 59D, 60D, 67A & 70A. Whew. WedLATX: 7. Kudos for 56D.

Once there was a man named Sargent who created an alter ego named [livejournal.com profile] sargent whose goal was evil domination of the world. His original journal has inspired others, like Jota's [livejournal.com profile] grunk to explore the lighter side of the fantasy setting.

I'd had an idea to create a character for this world, but couldn't think of a way to do it without undermining or interfering with the characters that are already being maintained. This is not a role playing group, this is a few people each exploring different aspects of a world, using the same world purely as a matter of convenience. Everyone is free to ignore the others, unless something happens in one that would be really good material.

So with Sarge's most recent entry. I finally saw the impetus I was looking for. So meet [livejournal.com profile] grellong, the Hero.
