Mars Needs Trivia.

Last year, for my family Christmas, I presented Trivia Football. This year, I was toying with the idea of doing some sort of Name That Tune thingum. But the guest list has expanded, and I think that might get unwieldy. There are going to be about forty people there. Even taking infants, and toddlers out of the mix, that's still thirty to thirty-five people to deal with.
One of the reasons I went with Trivia Football last year was that it was easy to get everyone involved. There were two teams made up of everybody, and they had time to consult and plan a strategy before giving answers. It was a good way to get people involved because answering questions becomes more like a brainstorming session. Even people who don't have the greatest recall can help out with the crucial "now that you've said that I'm sure you're right," factor. I'm looking for something like that.
When I was thinking of NTT, I imagined it was going to be a bit finicky to get enough questions and coordinate it with my piano-expert cousin. But with so many people, I think it'll be a bit too tough, to the point where it won't be very fun for me to construct it. Right now, the only idea I'm working with is (Make Your Own) Taboo. Not trivia, of course, but it gives me the opportunity to tailor the game to the audience, with family-, location- and season-specific cards. The only concern for that is the possibility of going too long. I always prefer short and sweet.
So, do any of you have suggestions for a group of about thirty-five people of all ages to play? It's not too hard to get people playing—there's a critical mass of game-lovers already—but it's best if everyone can work together, from kids to adults.
