Gaming blogs are reporting "confirmation" that Gamestop will be opening pre-orders for the Nintendo Wii on Friday.

The only "confirmation" that's available comes from Go Nintendo who have a scan of a hard copy of an e-mail that supposedly comes from Gamestop management. That's not confirmation. There's no reason for anyone to believe that the e-mail that's been scanned is actual. I can type this e-mail up, spoof an official address and print it out, and it's still false. Scanning it in doesn't make it true.

Now, my suspicion is that it is true, but still: not confirmed.

Next Generation has a bizarre "article" on its front page. The headline reads "New Image Shows PS3 Potential". The text of the article, in its entirety, is:
It's been a year of ups and downs for Sony but we're now just a few weeks from the arrival of PlayStation 3. Excitement is in the air, but if you're still not convinced, this image from TGS might allay those fears
Then, there's a picture of Japanese people standing in a room.

What the hell am I missing here?

Crazy-ass Jack Thompson is trying to get the upcoming videogame Bully declared a "public nuisance" in the state of Florida. In response, the judge has asked to see the game in play before evaluating Thompson's claim. In an e-mail to Game Politics, Thompson said:
The court ordered production of the game by tomorrow at 3pm, for his full review of the game while it is being played, up to or more than 100 hours.
BREAKING - Miami Court Orders Take-Two to Turn Over "Bully"
So, the judge will either be looking at less than 100 hours of play, exactly 100 hours of play, or more than 100 hours of play. Thanks for clearing that up, idiot.
