Not Quite a Lie.
Feb. 22nd, 2007 02:04 pmSo, yeah, I was out proposing instead of going over the final proofs of The Gamer's Quarter, but the magazine did come out this weekend. I finished going over the articles for
shapermc on Friday morning before my flight left. In fact, one of the reasons
ojouchan was less suspicious was because she attributed my stress to editing TGQ. Little did she know that I was editing the magazine while planning the proposal.
This issue is fantastic. There is lots of good writing, and there's tons of original artwork. I personally recommend:

This issue is fantastic. There is lots of good writing, and there's tons of original artwork. I personally recommend:
- "Secrets and Save Points" by Heather Campbell, which is heartwrenchingly beautiful.
- "The Punch Line" by
akkanvader, which is surprisingly sexy.
- "Christmas Morning in the Leukemia Ward" by Brendan Lee and "A Retrospective Survival Guide to Tokyo Game Show" by Rudie Overton, which are fun, but are a bit more games-journalism-centric.
- "Why Game?" by Mister Raroo, which is the best "getting nongamers into gaming" article ever.
- "From the Editor's Desk" by
shapermc, which thanks some people reading this.
