Either AOL Instant Messenger has gone insane or someone's been trying to IM me all day. The "incoming message" sound keeps chiming, but there's no record. Is it you? Do you think it might be you? Do you think you might know who it is? Wild guesses? Anything would be a plus.

Heather of Call to Adventure offers a couple of links including a Washington Post article on "religious ignorance." I have to say I'm always suspicious whenever someone uses polls to sell ignorance. The polls about religious ignorance aren't cited in the article, but the one about American cultural ignorance is:

According to polls conducted by the National Constitution Center, only one third of Americans can name even one of the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment. Is it any more startling that only one third can identify the preacher of the Sermon on the Mount?
