Consolation.
Oct. 9th, 2007 11:21 amI haven't been able to turn on my Xbox since the move, because I couldn't find the AC adapter. It turns out I had moved it over to the computer room thinking it was an adapter for something else. I guess I expected some sort of Microsoft markings on it letting me know what it was for. Anyway, I put two and two together this morning and took a little time to play Kung Fu Chaos, which I baught used for
ojouchan. I think she'll enjoy it, because it's about beating people up. I like it for the keerazy flavor.
Also, last night, I set up my Dad's Wii. It wasn't perfect. I didn't realize his wireless was still down, so I didn't get him online to purchase The Legend of Zelda, his favorite game ever. And I forgot to bring a Wiimote with a sampling of Miis to populate his system. But we got Wii Sports running, and he and Mom are pretty happy about it. The experience resonated well with Peterb's essay at Tea Leaves about how a videogame console should be an appliance that "just works." That Wii is going to be working without much intervention for a very long time, now.
Still haven't had time to upload GPS data. Maybe tonight.
