I just finished watching the reply of Will Shortz on The Daily Show, but [livejournal.com profile] fuldu has already said pretty much all that needs to be said about it.

When I picked up an abandoned copy of the LA Times while doing the laundry today, my eye was drawn not to the recall coverage, but to a map on the front page of the "California" section. It accompanied a story about the flash floods that hit Las Vegas and the Mojave desert yesterday, and pointed out the place where a bridge had been washed out, forcing the closure of the I-15. And where was that location which brought a smile to this logophile's eye?
On the road to Las Vegas, northbound traffic backed up for an estimated 27 miles after damage to the supports of the 38-year-old Oat Wash Bridge was discovered, resulting in the closure of I-15 at Zzyzx Road about 10:30 a.m.
When we get the NPL Convention to Vegas, Zzyzx, California is definitely going to have to be a highlighted point of interest.

WedNYTX: 8. ThuNYTX: 7:30.

(Spell-check note: The LJ spell-checker doesn't recognize "Mojave" but does recognize "Mojave's".)
