Earlier this month, I'd been wondering about how to post more regularly. It turns out that a good cure for that is to have nearly sixty people start reading the journal. It's really got me looking at my LJ a bit more.
I just went through my archives to see what entries were in my sex filter. I've created a tag for those entries, for those who want to catch up. The post I wanted to write remains on my home computer, and the filter-signup post remains open. I think I'll probably modify it (or create a new one) that can be a general add-me-to-filters-please post. It turns out that screened comments are a much more effective way of managing things than a poll.
Going back over my archives, I see I'd forgotten how much I've written in this thign over six years. I'm glad I always used evocative titles, but I really should go through with a tag pencil and get things organized. I shouldn't be this surprised at myself. I'd also forgotten how I'd created some unusual filters that I no longer use. The two main ones were designed to shield exes from my later dating escapades, but I never really thought about adding anyone to those filters later on. I won't worry about it until I have the tags set up (why worry about them when they're still hard to find), but I should do something about that eventually.
Trying to get a handle on my friends list, I'm also noticing how many people I have on my list who haven't posted in years. LiveJournal doesn't really provide any incentive to drop those journals. I mean, since they're not posting, they aren't showing up on my friends page. And maybe they'll come back and post. You never know.
Finally, here's a little puzzle I found in an old post (links updated):
WedNYTX: 6. Also, I was the sixth person to register a correct answer for last night's medium Heyawake at Nikoli.com.

Yesterday in the NPL chatroom, we were playing the NPL's own particular brand of $25,000 Pyramid. (Hey, someone rewrote the intro to that page. Great!) Anyway, I've found myself particularly haunted by a series of clues I gave yesterday, based on a category by Treesong:The answer can be found in the original entry.Divining the category is left as an exercise to the reader.
- Our heroes encounter a logic problem that does have enough information to solve it.
- Harry is shocked to discover that he killed James and slept with Lily.
- Hagrid fortuitously raises a strangely footed beast in the Forbidden Forest.
- The challenge turns out to be Tom Marvolo himself.
