The Controversy in My Other Fandom
Mar. 10th, 2009 02:22 pm. . . Is KenKen.
Okay, not really.
But kind of.
Luckily, this is much easier to understand.
Assuming that you find it easy to understand mathematics-based sudoku-like logic puzzles.
If you do, you should read Thomas Snyder Outdoes The NYT KenKen. It used to be "Thomas Snyder Does The NYT KenKen," but he decided to outdo it instead.
motris is, as he says, "the 1st Greatest Sudoku Puzzle Solver in the World (only 2nd Greatest in the US, which just goes to show you how small the world truly is)." And he write amazingly elegant puzzles.
I haven't had time to do most of the outdone KenKen, but some of them are easy, and they are generally aesthetically pleasing (
motris is good about that).
The first post is here, where he discusses the March 2 NYT KenKen. After that, he outdoes it with his own puzzles every day. If you just want to know the answer, I think someone posted it (using white-text to prevent spoilers) on each page.
I'm looking forward to catching up.
(P.S. I love his KenKen icon.)
