Back with It
Mar. 18th, 2009 10:33 amI had a long weekend, and I spent it doing a whole lot of nothing. I didn't even bother going online for most of it. I slept in, read books, played a lot of Ōkami. On the other hand, I also did several social things, including going out to Toi. I also had luxury-suite tickets to a Clippers game on Sunday, and I brought
ojouchan and
tmcay along with. The game was surprisingly suspenseful, ending with a 3-pt basket at the buzzer that gave the Clippers their sixteenth win of the mostly-over season.
Caught up on the LJ (500 posts back) at work today, so I'm mostly up to date with the stuff and the things.
Also, I'm planning to attend the Los Angeles Crossword Tournament next month, and to that end, I'm going to be doing my daily crosswords on paper, with more rigorous attention to time and errors. That also means that my times will be slower as I get used to erasing, making my letters readable, checking answers before claiming to be finished, and dealing with finding the clues on the page. I figure that if I go at my own pace and avoid errors, I should do well, expecially since most of the heavy-hitters I know of in LA have competed in the ACPT at least once, placing them out of the rookie league.
MonNYTX: 5:41, no errors; TueNYTX: 6:24, no errors (caught a blank square while checking); WedNYTX: 7:45, no errors.
