Hello Let Me Post about Myself Again Okay
Feb. 8th, 2009 11:52 pmThis morning,
ojouchan, a friend, and I went out to brunch in Silverlake. We decided to wait for an inside table because of the possiblity of rain, and I scrounged up some quarters to by a Sunday LA Times. Later, when we'd been seated, and I was flipping through the sections, Ojou exclaimed, "Ooh, brown people, go back!" Excited about the prospect of a Sunday news story focused on people of color, she pulled out this week's Parade Magazine.
She did not get the story she expected.
On the other hand, we did spend the meal seated behind Flea and Pete Townsend singing songs to their kids over breakfast.
Yesterday was spent at
tinhornnpl's house playing games. I watched Vikings played as I arrived. I played Wits and Wagers and lost horribly, and played Maharaja and eked out a win. Then we looked at Dominion and were confused, so we decided to play pinball instead.
Tinhorn had acquired a new pinball machine since I'd been there last: Theatre of Magic, and we decided we'd all have more fun playing it than looking for a new game. We started a four-player game where most of us learned how to play while Tin kicked our asses. Then
cramerica went home, and we had a three-player game where I did a little better (and Tin landed a place on the top-scores slate). Then Andrew went home and I played one last game with Tin. To my surprise and pride, I managed to beat his score on the third game, though I ended up within two million points of a billion, which made me a little sad.
